Newsletter No.7 - January 2009

Dear All.

Firstly a Very Happy New Year to Everyone

I know the world is in turmoil but I hope we can keep a special, still, peaceful place within us and upon which we can call when our lives are challenging us

I believe our Transpersonal Community helps to remind us about that "special place" within our hearts and so I see this year as very important for us all to keep connected whenever we can.

It seems that The Centre for Transpersonal Psychology where many of us are accredited is entering a new era and I know, like me, you will have a heart felt wish that The Centre may flourish. Peter Merriott is to be the Chair of The Council and he is gathering around him an enthusiastic group of people, and doing his best to listen to many visions for the future. What a rich prospect for us all!

As well as The Centre - Perspectives continues to “hold the note”, as it has done for several years and my wish is that it will carry on being a Transpersonal Note. I hope you will continue to bring other people along to our meetings. What is important for any organisation is that we stay alive and lively to the needs of our members. Please keep talking about your wants and needs and I hope we can meet them in 2009

TWENTY TWO STEPS TO WISDOM
A Workshop led by Beata Bishop

The 22 Cards of the Major Arcana of the Tarot add up to a symbolic description of human life, from birth to death and rebirth, AKA the Hero’s Journey. Inner and outer processes, tests, trials, initiations – everything is there, and all of it refers to us here and now, struggling towards the Jungian concept of individuation

Besides embarking on the Hero’s Journey through imagery, we shall also explore the Tarot as an aid to meditation, a psychotherapeutic tool and a method of divination which is totally different from the “end –of –the – pier kind of Tarot – based fortune telling.
