TRANSPERSONAL PERSPECTIVES
Newsletter No.2 - June 2005
Members Events We depend upon members generously giving their time and energy to offer us a taste of the work they do. In response to the enthusiasm shown at our January event Monica Anthony and Beata Bishop are offering workshops that develop the themes they introduced at this gathering. Contact them for more information.
Monica Anthony: “The Language of Astrology” 020 7232 2562, London SE16 info@monicaanthony.co.uk
Beata Bishop “Dancing with the Shadow” 1/2 October 2005 , Central London beatabishop@clara.co.uk
April Event Our thanks go to Hermione Elliot and Judith Mills who bravely agreed to compress a two day course into a short workshop about the road “From Burnout to Joy”. This provided opportunities for valuable insights and understandings of this particular journey; however it did mean that we had to limit the time available for socialising and networking.
No Shows The number of participants for the April event was restricted to 30. Thanks to the members who advised us they could not attend everyone on the waiting list was eventually offered a place. Nevertheless eight members failed to turn up on the day and sent no apology for absence. Starting with the September event we will be charging a £5 enrolment fee. Enrolment forms and full details of the September and November events will be sent to you in July.
Autumn Event – Revised Date This will take place on Sunday, 11 September 2005 , at Pax Lodge, Lyndhurst Road, London NW3. This beautiful venue in Belsize Park belongs to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. Their large conference room has windows at each end with access to a secluded garden. It is hard to believe that this peaceful oasis is not in the middle of the countryside. This gathering will be about our own gathering in and leaving to rest, with experiential sessions and plenty of time for enjoying each others' company.
November Event The final event of the year will take place at Pax Lodge on Sunday, 27 November 2005. Sue Michaelson has generously offered us a one-day workshop on the theme of “The Feminine Principle, Shamanism, and the Visual Arts”. Sue will share with us how she has taken her Transpersonal Psychology training and made it her own. So many of you have “done it my way”, so maybe Sue's offering will establish a theme for future events. After lunch there will be plenty of time for an early Yuletide celebration.
Website How to present the very wide range of members' advertising requirements has been quite a challenge. We have decided to offer two boxes per subscription, each box having a maximum of 50 words. One box will provide a personal biography with email and website links. The other box will summarise the activities, workshops and therapies members have to offer. Additional boxes will be available pro rata. Those of you who have signed up for advertising will soon be receiving an email with examples of how to submit your own details. Because this year is a trial period your advertising subscription for 2005 will now cover 2006.
Calendar of Events Please note revised dates for 2005.A firm schedule for 2006 will be published before the year end.
